Sterile Services Team Leader



CSSD Team Leader - £16,480 - £16,500



My client is part of an international privately owned company with subsidiaries in Europe and Asia and is a market leader in the reprocessing of medical devices. The UK Company offers customised solutions to hospitals for the modernisation of their Central Sterile Supply Department. This involves supplying decontamination / sterile services to a number of private hospitals in the region. They are now looking to recruit a Team Leader for their Sterile Services Unit.



In the Role of Team Leader you will:



* Provide a first class decontamination sterile service to the operating department, clinical departments and relevant paramedical departments.

* Manage, motivate, train and engage the Unit’s workforce

* Report any problems with equipment or instruments to the SSD Supervisors.

* Promote and maintain the highest level of Health & Safety for the protection of staff, patients and visitors.

* Work as an active member of the SSD team ensuring agreed standards are maintained.

* Ensure daily maintenance of machinery is carried out and any faults reported.

* Ensure that all Unit activities are in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures.

* Assist in the induction of new staff and technicians.

* Ensure that all equipment is operated safely and processes documented.

* Maintain and supervise Unit hygiene, maintenance and cleanliness

* Manage the team’s performance on an ongoing basis.
