Salary: Up to £24,000 + OTE
1. GENERAL SUMMARY
Initiates outbound telephone calls to customers and/or prospects to promote products, identify leads and forward these qualified leads to the Field Sales for follow up. Focus will be on complex solution sales to IT departments/organizations. Work with field sales to implement national and regional sales promotion and product introduction programs in territory.
2. PRIMARY FUNCTION / MAJOR RESPONSIBILITY
• Pursue sales target objectives for assigned territories/field sales associates and conduct long-term sales follow-up to key customers.
• Develop qualified leads for the field sales force through outbound telephone contact and provide field sales with customer, prospect and application information.
• Maintain database with accurate and current customer and prospect information.
• Report to Marketing and Sales on product acceptance, lost sales, and predicted specials needed to increase sales.
• Assist with the development of new concepts, and changes/improvements to Standard Operating Procedures and policies. Independently evaluate problems and recommend pro- active solutions.
• Produce management Policy Deployment reports and Key Performance Indicator reports for planning process and management in accordance to Company standards.
3. SUPERVISION/COMPLEXITY
Operate from general procedures and policies under limited supervision. Perform new and varied work with moderate degree of complexity. Solve problems of moderate scope and complexity. Errors in judgment could result in loss of funds, accounts or delays and could affect Company Image. Contacts with related Company departments and external partners/customers.
4. SPECIFIC JOB SKILLS REQUIRED
Ability to work with assigned sales team, interact with them to resolve customer care issues, motivate, promote and sell products to customers. Good working knowledge of products, industry, and customers. Possess good Sales and Marketing skills. This is a critical customer contact position requiring good oral and written communication skills including tact and diplomacy. Position requires computer proficiency, and a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to work with different cultures.
5. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Degree in communications, marketing, or technical field, and two years related sales experience with technical products, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
6. JOB CONDITIONS
Following the working hours and public holidays of the country the employee is working for/appointed to. Occasional travel.
