Household Insurance Pricing & Planning Manager



The Pricing and Planning Manager undertakes a wide variety of important roles for the Company, including being responsible for the pricing of the household insurance account, assessing profitability and competitiveness for all business lines, participating in the placing of the Company’s reinsurance programme and assisting with Solvency II implementation. <br><br>Responsibilities include:<br><br>1. Delivery of effective pricing across the household account, including ownership of rating structures and their application, conducting account reviews, modelling the impact of pricing decisions on key business variables and presenting recommendations to the Board and senior management.<br>2. Contributing to the collation, production and presentation of management information and analysis of results against plans, including making strategic recommendations for improvements.<br>3. Participating in the development and placing of the Company’s reinsurance programme.<br>4. Maintaining and developing the Company’s internal capital model <br>5. Assisting the Executive Directors with technical and analytical input on projects designed to meet strategic and regulatory objectives.<br>6. Contributing to product development including liaison with insurers, monitoring account performance and recommending changes.<br>7. Providing analytical support to internal business units, including statistical modelling and portfolio analysis.<br><br>To succeed in this role applicants must:<br><br> Have a strong analytical background including proven data handling skills, experience of databases and a sound knowledge of the personal lines market.
